They say the first step is always the hardest but for us it was easy or so it was this time.
We've talked about buying land to build on one day but never really took any actions. We know that we want to have children someday and our current 2 bedroom 1 bath 800 square feet won't accommodate more than two of us.
Well, for those of you that may not know my grandparents farmed. Since Grandpa passed away there's been no farming going on. We had spoken with Grandma awhile back about selling us this one particular 8 acre field but at the time we couldn't afford it. Now that Chad has a better job, working for Trane, our monthly income increased. So we approached Grandma again about land. The market has gone down and so did the price per acre so we (Grandma, Chad, and I) came up with a fair price for everyone and purchased the 8 acres.
We officially own land! Now what?
